About DVB-T
Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial (DVB-T) is a technical standard developed by the DVB Project and adopted by the European Telecommunications Standardization Institute (“ETSI”). It specifies the framing structure, channel coding and modulation for Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) broadcasting.
The DVB-T patents licensed by Sisvel were owned by Koninklijke KPN, Orange, Panasonic Corporation and TDF.
The DVB-T licensing programme is no longer active. Sisvel currently manages the DVB-T2 licensing programme, the most advanced standard for broadcasting digital television on terrestrial networks.
